Position Title:

Human Resources Assistant (Part-time)

Position Summary:

Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Director (HRD) and, others as directed, on most Human Resources matters.  Position is scheduled as a “Part-time 50%” position, but may require additional hours on rare occasions for major activities. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions; seeks assistance for information from the HRD as needed.
  • Conducts benefits enrollment for new employees.
  • Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains books current.
  • Submits the online investigation requests and assists with new employee background checks.
  • Updates HR spreadsheet with employee change requests and processes paperwork.
  • Assists with processing of terminations.
  • Assists HR Director with special projects.
  • Makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other administrative functions.
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Prepares new employee files.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirement/

Responsibilities:

Solutions Consultants are part of SCI’s growing and dynamic Strategic Consulting and Solutions Practice. Current and prospective customers are within the Federal Civilian marketplace and our services include Outreach, Communications, Business and Functional Requirements Engineering, Program Management, Transformation and Organizational Change, and similar consulting services. These individuals are responsible for Product Development and Delivery, Peer Review, Organizational Performance Analysis, Requirements Elicitation, Facilitation, and other activities typically performed by mid- to senior-level consultants. Projects can range from one-person, short-term engagements to longer, multi-person teams. Consultants are also expected to maintain customer relationships, provide follow-up support, and excel in organic business development.

Qualifications/Skills/

Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Proven success at major corporations in a variety of roles such as Front-line Customer Support and Delivery, Business Development and Proposal activities, and Organizational or Team Strategies.
  • Working knowledge of Portfolio and/or Enterprise Services and Requirements Management.
  • Working knowledge of Communication and Stakeholder Engagement programs.
  • Must be self-directed, motivated, and productive in new or loosely-defined situations, including, but not limited to:
    • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and as part of a team.
    • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to client requirements.
