SCI was instrumental in the development of the Radio Frequency Identification Tracking System at the DOE East Tennessee Technology Park which enabled waste disposal for a decommissioning and demolition project which generated over 80,000 shipments of contaminated and hazardous materials waste.
The implementation of SCI’s RFITS technology and its application saved the Department of Energy over $7 million while enabling the completion of a three-year project in less than a year, eliminating over 250,000 manually generated shipping documents, securing sensitive material and increasing project efficiency.
SCI built, implemented and managed a global anti-terrorism tool, called the Bio-Surveillance Common Operating Network to provide situational awareness of possible terrorist threats in the medical world. The tool increased the capability of discovering terrorist threats for DHS where that capability was previously non-existent.
